Joaquín Grau Murcia, born in Bigastro (Alicante). Professor of Solfeggio and Music Theory, Professor of Euphonium, Composition and Instrumentation and Orchestra Conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and Professor of Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory of Music in Murcia.
Since 1989, he has belonged to the Corps of Music Directors of the Ministry of Defense. He has been director of Music of the Military Government of La Coruña and of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza. He is currently the Commander Director of the Music Unit of the Tercio de Levante of the Marine Infantry based in Cartagena.
As a guest conductor, he has conducted: the Municipal Symphonic Band of Alicante, the Municipal Band of Albacete, that of La Coruña, the Classical Orchestra of La Coruña, the "Ciudad de Cartagena" Chamber Orchestra, etc.
