SALVA LUJÁN is a composer and conductor born in Valencia (Spain). He teaches Composition at the "Salvador Seguí" Superior Conservatory in Castellón, is the principal conductor of the Ayorense Musical Society and, in turn, a board member of the Association of Symphonic Composers of the Valencian Community (COSICOVA).
Since childhood, Salva has always felt the need to communicate and his experience from a young age with piano lessons naturally led him to do so through music. His early concern for composition was cultivated during his adolescence and learning harmony with his teacher and friend, Miguel Ángel Mateu, made him understand music from a different point of view than the conventional one.
His passion for musical art and the desire to further develop his creativity led him to train in several Conservatories where he obtained the Title of Professor of Solfeggio, Music Theory, Repentance, Transposition and Piano. Training that he later complemented with a Higher Degree in Composition and Orchestration and a Master's Degree in Musical Research from the International University of Valencia.
Once his training was completed, Salva focused his creative work on a single objective; communicate and enhance the emotional value of music by providing it with multicolored prisms to make it attractive, heartfelt and enduring to the public, who is, ultimately, the great recipient.
Today her works, in which music for wind orchestra predominates, are interpreted and studied in numerous countries, in addition to being nominated for the Euterpe Awards (2009) and awarded in numerous composition contests, nationally and internationally, such as the III Ibero-American Composition Contest "Villa de Ortigueira" in Galicia (2010) or the IV International Composition Contest "La Prime L'ús" in Bertiolo (Italy, 2013) or the Fideu music awards in the "creation" section musical» (2021), among others.
Simultaneously to his facets as a composer and teacher, his work as a conductor, whose training has been in charge of the maestros Jan Cober, José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana and Ferrer Ferran, has been widely recognized and awarded. They include, among others: winner of the I National Contest for Conducting Music Bands "Cueva de Medrano" in Ciudad Real (2008), as well as numerous awards in various competitions such as 1st prize (Honorable Mention) in the second category of the “Ciutat de València” International Band Contest in 2014. Being aware that excellence in this field requires constant training and even with almost 20 years of experience, he continues to explore musically with internationally renowned maestros such as Miquel Rodrigo i Tamarit.
Currently, Salva lives and works for and for music, being requested as a jury in various competitions such as the 39th Valencian Community Music Band Contest, as well as invited to give presentations and conduct his own music in numerous musical groups such as the Municipal Band. de Murça (Portugal), the Harmonie Municipale D'Orthez (France) or the Municipal Band of Marratxí in Mallorca (Spain), among others. Regarding his composition, he has different commissions that will be premiered over the next two years.
