MIGUEL ANGEL IBIZA ZARAGOZA
He began to study music at the Music School of the "Unión Musical Xeraco" with José Castelló. Later he moved to the Superior Conservatories of Music "Oscar Esplá" of Alicante and "Victoria Eugenia" of Granada where he continued his studies of Trombone and obtained the Title of Superior Professor of said specialty. He also has a Tuba Professional Degree and has studied Harmony and Counterpoint. In addition, he obtains the Pedagogical Aptitude Course at the University of Almería.
It is perfected with professors and soloists of the stature of Jesús Juan Oriola (Professor of the Superior Conservatory of Alicante), Antonio V. Mas Varó (Professor of the Superior Conservatory "Oscar Esplà" d'Alacant), Enrique Ferrando (Soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain), Francisco R. Vega (Soloist of the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra), Alberto Castelló (Professor at the Gijón Conservatory), Jacques Mauger (Professor at the Paris Conservatory and International Soloist), Javier Colomer (Professor at the Escola Comarcal de Música del Comtat), the brothers Robert and Nick Child (International Euphonium Soloists) and with members of The Sir Aligator's Company (among them Elies Hernandis and Alvaro Martínez).
He has taken Improvement Courses in Musical Analysis and Harmony with Jan D'Haene, Musical Analysis with Yvan Nommick and Dr. Enrico Fubini, Harmony Applied to Jazz and Pop with Jacques Luce, Initiation to Composition with Joan E. Canet, Fundamentals Composition with Javier Artaza and Composition of Soundtracks “Vila de Pego” with Pascal Gaigne, Arnau Bataller and Xavier Capellas.
In the field of new technologies, he has taken courses such as "New Educational Technologies applied to the Classroom", "Computer-assisted Music" with Josep Cortés (Ireneu Segarra School of Musical Pedagogy), Score Editing Course (Encore Program) with Jorge Suanes (Teacher at the Aula de Música Divisi Academy), “Cakewalk” (I Curs d'Informática Musical de Pedreguer) with Pedro J. Andani (Composer and arranger), “Encore” and “Finale 2001” by Aula Actual and also gave the I Course in Musical Informatics at the Pedreguer Music School with the Encore program. He has also taken the course "Management of Music Schools" with Pere Bayona (Ireneu Segarra Musical Pedagogy School) and more recently "Educational Coaching" with Cristina de Arozamena and Music and Emotions with Mauricio Weintraub.
As a teacher, he has taught Grave Metal, Musical Language, Harmony and Choir at the Music Schools of Xeraco, Xaló, Gata de Gorgos, Pedreguer, Benissa and at the Professional Music Conservatories of Elche, Elda, Ontinyent and Oliva. He has also been Head of Studies at the Xeraco Music School and Director of the Pedreguer Municipal Music School. He was part of the “Equales” Trombon Quartet. For five years he was Director-founder of the Xeraco Polyphonic Choir. In Pedreguer he has conducted on several occasions the Cor de l' Escola de Música and the Cor Sant Bonaventura. He was also a member, by opposition, of the Military Music Corps.
As a composer, he is the author of more than a hundred pieces, some of them published by Omnes Bands and Sonata Ediciones. In addition, he is part of the Primary Music projects Solfa.música.es and Cuadernos de Música from Editorial Tabarca, for which he has composed 5 original songs, 12 musical stories and the arrangements of almost 100 popular songs. In the world of Festival Music, in addition to being a finalist in various competitions (Orihuela-1997, Callosa d'En Sarrià-2003, l'Olleria-2005, Benidorm-2008 and 2009, Bocairent-2009 and Almería 2016), he has received the following prizes:
*First Prize in the XX Ontinyent Festive Music Contest 2005 with the Moorish march “Zeina”
*Honorable Mention in the III Dénia Composition Contest for Dulzainas and Percussion "Música al Castell 2005" with the Christian march.

*Third Prize in the 4th “Música Jove” Composition Contest in the Youth Band category with the work “Kitten & Puppy”
*Second prize and Honorable Mention in the II Prize for Composition for Dulzaina and Piano "Festacarrer d'Ondara" with the work "Dolpia"
He is currently a Trombone professor at the Pedreguer Municipal Music Conservatory and at the Els Poblets and Xeraco Music Schools. He also directs the band of the Unió Musical Els Poblets. He also belongs to the Association of Music Composers of Moors and Christians and the SGAE.
