Doge Ioaxim

Dedicated to Joaquín Cerdá, Captain Cristiano in 1995 by the “Filà Melers” of L'Olleria (Valencia). Work of the author Oscar Vidal Belda, He has been principal conductor of different band formations and has directed as guest conductor many other symphonic bands in Spain. He has conducted the Barcelona Municipal Band within the Barcelona LEM festival, premiering works by contemporary composers such as Agustí Martínez, Jane Rigler, Llorenç Barber, Xavier Maristany or Miguel Marín among others. He has premiered works by contemporary composers at the “Círculo de Bellas Artes” within the experimental music festival “Escena Contemporánea”, at the ENSEMS in Valencia and at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid.
His works have been performed by different Spanish bands, receiving commissions such as the work “Locus Solus” for the Barcelona Municipal Band or “I don't understand this music” dedicated to the Spanish trumpeter José Cháfer.
