Mora March by Mila Rosa Molina. The young Ontinyentina composer Mila Rosa Molina Moscardó has written a new motet dedicated to the advocacy image of our Brotherhood and entitled “Madre Nostra”. The piece is written for four voices and some verses by our macip, Sergi Gómez. Motets are short musical pieces, sung in chapel or perhaps with a small number of musical instruments that have traditionally, since the Baroque era at least, accompanied our religious parades, and are the musical form of passionate mourning in Ontinyent and our region. Right now, the custom is quite abandoned, but the Brotherhood of Soledad already has two motets in its heritage, and intends, in the coming years, to bring back the custom of singing motets to the daily life of our passionate commemoration.
