RAMON GARCIA SOLER

Ramon Garcia is an internationally renowned composer and conductor with more than a hundred compositions to his credit.

Born in 1971, he graduated in composition and guitar at the Oscar Esplá Conservatory of Music in Alicante with the teachers José Tomás and J. Enric Canet, taking courses with D. Russell, L. Brouwer and J. L. González, among others, at the same time. who attends different seminars on conducting, music education and film music with José Nieto, Roque Baños, Claudio Ianni or Lucio Godoy among others.

As a composer, he has in his catalog more than a hundred works of different genres and styles, making recordings and soundtracks for different audiovisual media. He has collaborated in orchestrations of films such as Capture the Flag, Escape Plan, Captain Thunder or Pasaje al Amanecer among others. In this field, he has also created concert suites for films such as Open your eyes (A. Amenábar-M. Marín), La Dama Boba (L. Ivars), Catch the Flag (D. Navarro), Blasco Ibáñez (G. Berlanga- Suburban) etc. He actively participates as a director, orchestrator and arranger in the FIMUCITÉ (International Film Music Festival of Tenerife).

His works have been performed by renowned ensembles and soloists from Spain, France, Cuba, Argentina, the US, the Netherlands, Belgium and Japan. In the National Auditorium within the cycle "The First Auditorium" of the Piú Mosso Foundation, he premiered his work Tulam in October 2016 and in 2017 he premiered at the City Hall in Hong Kong his Spanish Fantasy for bass clarinet and marimba Farnese Bridge with the Duo Antwerp and the Hong Kong Festival Wind Orchestra.

He has been awarded several awards, including the Font de Anta in Seville, Euterpe and Hermes from the FSMCV, a nomination for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (2014) and the Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards (2015) in USA, both for their renowned Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra.

In his symphonic catalog we can highlight his works Oryza, (Commissioned by the Vila d'Altea International Competition, 2016), Díptic per a cordes, (2001), Scherzo and Rondó for clarinet and string orchestra (2004) and his musical tale El Abejaruco and the fire (2000).
