VICTOR VALLES FORNET
Víctor Vallés Fornet (1984) was born in Vergel (Alicante). He finished the Intermediate Degree in trumpet and piano at the Professional Conservatories "Tenor Cortis" and "Josep Climent" in Denia and Oliva respectively. In 2008 he obtained a higher degree in Composition and an Extraordinary Final Degree Award at the "Joaquín Rodrigo" Conservatory of Music in Valencia, studying with professors such as Ramón Ramos, Gregorio Jiménez, Enrique Sanz, César Cano, Emilio Calandín, Francisco Tamarit... and carrying out a research project (Honours) on the two brass quintets that Enrique Sanz-Burguete has up to now: Gaudí*um and Bettina versus Goethe. Work published in the form of analysis in the magazine specialized in contemporary music Espacio Sonoro (www.tallersonoro.com/anterioresES/25/index.html). In 2010 he finished the Master of Music in the specialty of "Contemporary Music" at the UPV with a research paper on Carmelo A. Bernaola entitled "Analysis, flexibility and phenomenology in Sound Morphology of Carmelo A. Bernaola".
He takes analysis and composition courses with Ivan Nonmick, Agustín Charles, Leonardo Balada, Bishoff… and conducting with José R. Pascual-Vilaplana (for 4 years), Joan Espinosa, Jan Cober, Alex Schillings, Thomas Doos and Eugene Corporon.
His works have been performed at festivals such as "Synthèse 2008 de Bourges" (France), "IV Conference on Contemporary Music" (Córdoba -Argentina-), "Cuadraphonic Conference" University of Quilmes (Buenos Aires -Argentina-), "Zeppelin 2008 ” (Barcelona), “Llocs de Pas 2009 and 2010” (Barcelona), “Meeting Point 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016” (Electroacoustic music festival organized by the AMEE -Spanish Association of Electroacoustic Music-) “Electroacoustic Spring in Valencia 2007 and 2008” (Valencia), “Spanish Brass Alzira 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2017″, “Brassurround Torrent Festival 2012 and 2016”, “Avuí Música Season 2012 – 2021” (Barcelona) , “Ensems” 2015, 2020 and 2021 (Valencia)… premiering works at them, performers of the stature of Josep Fuster (OBC clarinet), Vicent López (tuba), Amores Grup de Percussió, Spanish Brass Luur Metalls, Quintet Cuesta, Art of Brass Valencia, Quintet Verger, QMAV and Municipal Bands of Valencia, Mallorca and Bil bao… in auditoriums such as the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the headquarters of the BBVA Foundation in Madrid, the Aula Magistral of the Palacio de la Ópera Reina Sofía in Valencia, the Mompou Auditorium in Barcelona, the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao and the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Gran Canaria.
Some of these works are registered both on CD and as sheet music at the publishers Al Puerto, Brotons & Mercadal, B&M Llevant, Omnes Band, Piles, MusicVall and the Spanish Brass (SB) publisher.
He has been awarded in the following composition contests:
– 1st Prize in the XLVIII edition of the Alcoy 2012 Festival Music Composition Contest.
– 1st Prize in the IV edition of the International Composition Contest for Villa de Muro Band 2012.
– 1st Prize in the 1st edition of the Villena 2013 Festive Music Composition Contest.
